    Outdoor learning
    The power of outdoor learning
    We are very fortunate at Freshwater Christian College to be surrounded by lush tropical rainforest. This beautiful ecosystem has provided our students with a great opportunity to engage in outdoor learning.

    Recently, our Grade Three students have been continuing to engage in various outdoor learning experiences. Each week they journey to our creek, these sessions have helped students to explore the world around them, build on their creativity and consolidate numeracy and literacy skills.

    QSITE Robotics Grandprix Winners!

    On the 14th of September 2019, the Freshwater Robotics Team competed in the QSITE Robotics Grandprix Competition. For the whole third term, we engineered and crafted our own robots to ZOOM past opposing robots and the clock, either on long, vast stretches of drag racing track or on a challenging circular track complete with tight and tricky turns. We needed hot speed and cool control. Luckily we had both!
