Challenges of the Journey
This week I received a visitor who reminded me of an unusual event that occurred six years ago at the College. About this time of year, three gentlemen used the College as a starting point for a 2,000 km walk to Stanthorpe. Many of our students walked with them for the first kilometre. They were walking to raise awareness for a missionary endeavour and also as a personal challenge for the individuals who were involved.

The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program is a fantastic organisation helping parents all over the world to become the best parents they can be. This program was created at the University of Qld and is currently supported by the Qld Government to provide parents with free access to this valuable parenting information.
Recently, we encouraged our parent community to attend a Triple P parenting information night and ran a competition for anyone who attended. It was a great night with around 600 parents attending. A number of parents from FCC attended and we were blessed to be able to award Anita Jackson with a $50 voucher from Limberlost Nursery Café just for attending and entering our competition.
