Lake Barrine is a wonderful place with amazing wildlife. When grade 5 went there we hopped on a large, big boat that motored us around the WHOLE Lake. We saw much great stuff when we were on the boat such as: Turtles, Fish and Eels. At one stage we went past a NON-active volcano. The boat driver then parked the boat into the shallowest part of the lake and gave grade 5 each a bit of bread to feed the fish, eels and turtles. But suddenly something caught the driver’s eye and it was none other than a simple snake up high in a big, tall fig tree. After we got back to the platform we jumped off the boat and ate our morning tea, once we ate that we went for a walk on the board walk. There we find MASSIVE cedar trees.
After we went to Lake Barrine we hopped back on the bus towards China Town. Once we got there we split up into our classes and headed into different directions.5Y went to the Chinese Temple while 5CG went to the Chinese museum. Once our sessions were complete we swapped places so that meant 5cg went to the Chinese temple while 5y went to the museum. Once those sessions were complete we all met up again and ate our lunch before going back onto the bus to finish the day.
I really liked grade 5 excursion I hope we can do it again!!!!
