Dear Mr. Entsch,
I thought I would write to you and let you know how I am going.
I am nine years old now and in Year Four. My feet don’t reach the floor when I sit in my chair. Now that I am in Upper Primary, the chairs and desks are much bigger.
I still need to have grommets in my ears before they can fix the hole in my right eardrum. Mummy says that I have been on the waiting list for one and a half years now at the Cairns Hospital. The doctor who saw me the other night said that it is not good for my heart to have so many ear infections. I wish my ears were fixed so that I could join in the Friday afternoon sport, but the noise of the students playing and cheering hurts my ears. I sit in the classroom where it is quieter.
We will be moving sometime this year to a new house and I am hoping we can find one to keep our two dogs, Roxy and Nigel. They help me so much with my special needs.
Thank you for caring.
Love from your friend,
P.S. I still have my Tiger you gave me.
