Freshwater Christian College is seeking a full-time Head of Faculty: Science (Senior Chemistry and/or Biology) Teacher for an immediate start.

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will bring a strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and pedagogical practice in the Secondary Sciences area. 

The successful candidate will also be fully aligned with the Christian values and beliefs of Freshwater Christian College, and seek a role providing opportunities to utilise their talents and skills to make a difference in the lives of our students and the wider College community. 

Selection Criteria

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold relevant teaching qualifications and experience;  
  • Have experience or the ability to teach Chemistry and/or Biology at a Queensland Senior Secondary school level;
  • Hold Queensland College of Teachers Registration;
  • Be able to demonstrate leadership in a school environment; 
  • Be able to sign and abide by the College’s Statement of Faith;
  • Be able to abide by the Staff Code of Conduct at all times;
  • Have the ability to work with all members of the College community (teaching and non-teaching staff, parents, students, and visitors) both individually and as a member of a department team;

We are seeking a talented Secondary School Digital Technologies Teacher for Term 2 2024. Commencing 15 April, this is a full-time short-term contract for Term 2 to cover a staff member who will be on leave.
